The University of Vaasa in Finland, Skogstekniska klustret in Sweden and Adopticum also in Sweden are together researching how optical measurement technologies and satellite data can be used to increase the efficiency of the activities of the forestry’s value chain. Various data received from satellites are already now utilised in the forestry sector but there a new opportunities for utilisation to be found.
