An Adhesive That Never Forgets

German researchers are using waste from wood and paper production to develop a polymer that is capable of bonding components and boasts a kind of memory function. This polymer can be rolled up and is designed to stay that way at temperatures below 9 degrees Celsius. As soon as it returns to room temperature, it unroll back into its original shape. Although shape memory polymers already exist, they only usually exists in temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius
